Introduction:
In Fusion Applications Update 25A, Oracle will be retiring the Self-Service Procurement Cloud - Purchase application and replacing it with the new Responsive Self-Service Procurement application. This modern, responsive application, built using the Redwood design framework, is available now and can be used across devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
(Classic) Purchase Requisitions Application Retiring 25A
Replaced by the Responsive Self Service Procurement Application
Implemented and rolled out the (Classic) Self Service Procurement application.
- Enable the Responsive Self Service Procurement application on your stage/dev pods to review the experience.
- Map your use cases to test on the responsive experience.
- Review field/page customizations done on Classic SSP to implement in the responsive experience.
- Determine your plan to roll out the experience (Full rollout? Progressive?).
- Train the users on the change.
New Implementation
- Oracle strongly recommends new implementation to be on the Responsive Self Service Procurement application.
- Avoid rolling out a new experience shortly after going live and needing to retrain your SSP users.
How do I enable the Responsive SSP application?
1. Opt-In Feature
Navigation: Setup and Maintenance
Setup: Procurement → Actions → Go to Offerings → Procurement → Opt In Features → Self Service Procurement

2. Verify Profile Options
In the Manage Administrator Profile Values task, set the values for these profile options:
Profile Option Code: ORA_FND_SEARCH_EXT_ENABLED → Yes.
Profile Option Code: ORA_FND_SEARCH_FETCH_COUNT → 100
3. Run ESS Programs
Login with a user that has Procurement Catalog Administrator role.
Navigate to Tools → Scheduled Processes → Schedule New Process.
ESS Process Name: Transform Data Post Upgrade
Feature Name: POPULATE_ELASTIC_INTERMEDIATE_TABLE
Monitor the Transform Data Post Upgrade process.
After the process is complete, wait for at least 2 hours to ensure that updated database statistics are available for the next process to run efficiently.
Login with a user that has Application Implementation Consultant role.
Navigate to Tools → Scheduled Processes → Schedule New Process.
ESS Process Name: ESS job to create index definition and perform Initial Ingest to OSCS

4. Required Role
To give people access to this feature, you need to configure roles (Custom Job Role) that contain the duty role listed below and assign them to users:
Requisition Self Service Responsive Application User Duty (ORA_POR_REQUISITION_SELF_SERVICE_PWA_USER_DUTY)
